When they left us stranded more than once, they were pompous about it until I talked to the owner. You will be doing the tourists a good service by taking Speedi-Shuttle off your list. They use town cars and may cost a little bit more, but they were always there when we needed them. Right after that happened we started using EXECUTIVE TRANSPORTATION and they were excellent. So, this is my warning, don't use SPEEDI-SHUTTLE if you want to make sure you get to your hotel in a reasonable amount of time. I notice that you are from Dublin, so you would need transport. We now rent a car because it is much more convenient to be able to just come and go as we please. We have never used them again and I have tried to warn people about them. We know a lot of local people from the island and they told us that SPEEDI-SHUTTLE is famous for not showing up and for having bad customer service. On that day they showed up, but it was in the same old van thing that they always use. He said that he was going to arrange for a limosine to take us back to the airport when it was time. We called the owner of Speedi-Shuttle the next day. We also had to pay for a taxi all the way up to Kapalua. Why couldn't they contact the driver if they have two way radio's which allow instant contact? They kept telling us while we were on the phone with them that they were trying to contact the driver. We called them and got the same attitude that you did. One time, after flying for 13 hours from the east coast, we were left at the airport stranded by them. We also had problems with them in the past. There are many other options in Honolulu - so I would avoid speedi-shuttle completely. That experience with speedi-shuttle really left me dumbfounded, especially when i had already booked their service in Honolulu.įor anyone who needs airport transportation in Maui, be prepared and careful with SPEEDI-SHUTTLE. She wouldn't hear any of my explanations, and just put me onto the driver - who simply said I was late, and hung up on me. Additionally, she told me it was their ROUTINE, which I was not informed. However, she said they had left messages in my room the day before to inform me of the change of pick-up time to 6.25am. When I told her about what happened, she told me my hotel receptionist had already told her. At the airport, I called the speedi-shuttle, and was greeted by yet another rude lady, with no sense of customer service. I was forced to pay 85USD for a taxi to the airport. We tried to call speedi-shuttle, but their lines only open at 7am. I showed her my boarding pass, which stated that my pick-up time was 6.40, and he had left at 6.30am! However, the reception was very kind to arrange a taxi for me, and also typed a letter to explain the incident so I could try to get reimbursed from Speedishuttle. The receptionist emphatised with my plight, and also told me that the driver was very rude to her. I hurriedly left the room, and when I got to reception, he had left. He said 9 others were waiting and he was leaving NOW. He was very rude - far from the website's claim of their courteous and friendly drivers. I told them I will be down in a few minutes, since it was still early. On that morning, I got a call at 6.25am from reception, telling me the driver is waiting. The shuttle for my return trip on 20 November was schedule for 6.40am. Upon arrival, I went to the speedi shuttle counter and was handed both my boarding passes to/from my hotel. My transportation from Kahalui airport to my hotel was fine. I had booked speedi shuttle for airport transpotation to/from my hotel in Maui. I was in Maui from 15-20 November and Honolulu from 20-22 November 2008. I would like to express my disappointment and dismay at Speedi shuttle.
